The role will be to undertake out project work, environmental data management and manage works on the river during a fixed term contract until December 2018. You will work with the Environment Manager to assess the acceptability of river works licence applications to ensure compliance with environmental legislation, and make recommendations to the Licensing Committee of the Board accordingly.
Other accountabilities include; developing environmental projects to ensure the PLA and its operators are compliant with the relevant environmental legislation. Provide scientific and technical support to other PLA departments on major marine projects such as port developments, river crossings and windfarms. Meet with stakeholders to discuss and resolve relevant river regime and environmental issues. Develop and manage the technical content of the environmental section of the PLA’s Intranet and public website.
Applicants will be graduate level in an appropriate discipline and should be able to demonstrate experience in self managed project work.
