Consultant / Senior / Principal Chartered Landscape Architects – Manchester, Coventry, Hemel Hempstead RSK Environment Ltd, a member of RSK Group plc, is looking for high-calibre Landscape Architects to join RSK’s growing Landscape Team which offers a comprehensive range of Landscape Planning & Assessment, Landscape Design and Landscape Management services.  RSK are involved in some of the country’s most high profile infrastructure projects and have significant track record of working on NSIP projects taking them successfully through DCO. RSK has an excellent opportunity for experienced Chartered Landscape Architects to join our growing teams to work on some of the most high profile infrastructure projects in the UK.  Commencing in February/March 2017 the successful candidates will take leading roles in the management, organisation and delivery of Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments and Appraisals, design and implementation projects in the rail sector. You will be expected to have a proven record of successful project management of LVIA and design for rail or other major linear infrastructure projects such as roads, gas and electricity transmission projects. You will have experience of working on large multidisciplinary projects, providing support to tender submissions, building lasting client relationships and working collaboratively with multifaceted project delivery teams. The successful candidate will be working on high profile projects principally in the rail sector, but with opportunities to also work on projects in the commercial, energy/renewable energy, government, property, and utilities sectors   helping some of the UK’s leading organisations to safeguard the environment for the future. The position may include periods of co-located working in clients’ offices.      Responsibilities Managing, organising and delivering Landscape and Visual Assessment/Appraisals, Landscape design & implementation, and landscape management projects; Providing landscape planning and assessment input during optioneering and design development; Working with junior members of the landscape team, including on the job coaching and mentoring; Working with other specialists such as GIS/Visualisation specialists, heritage and ecological consultants; Financial and commercial management of projects; Project management including developing project programme and technical review; Supporting business development and work winning activities; and Building existing and new client relationships to ensure repeat business. Essential skills and experience Degree level qualified in a relevant discipline in Landscape Architecture, Landscape Planning or Landscape Management or related subject; Chartered Member of  the Landscape Institute (CMLI); 5 to 15 years previous experience; Relevant experience in linear infrastructure projects; Fluent with AutoCAD, Keyscape, Adobe Creative suite and other industry standard graphics software packages; Working knowledge of UK environmental legislation; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Good team player, with the ability to work autonomously; Full UK driving licence; Enthusiastic and well organised. Desirable skills and experience MA in Landscape Architecture, Landscape Planning or Landscape Management; or related subject; Experience of preparing 3D models and photomontage visualisations; Experience in the rail sector including preparation of LVIA in support of TWAO / DCO applications; Experience of undertaking landscape photography; Working knowledge of UK environmental legislation; Well established leadership skills; P2C mentoring experience.
