The successful candidate will have a minimum of 6 years' consultancy experience. You will be highly ambitious and commercially minded. You should be well versed in all aspects of Phase 1 and 2 reporting, phase 3 remediation and ideally Waste Management.LocationWinchester - HampshireResponsibilitiesYou shall be leading a team within the existing Geotechnical & Geo-environmental division. Your professional experience will allow you to undertake and supervise contaminated land phase 1 desk studies, phase 2 intrusive Geotechnical site investigations, Geotechnical design recommendations and technical report writing.You will also be involved in undertaking strategic and commercial work such as; client development and management, identifying work opportunities and bid writing.In addition to this the daily duties would include;* Managing and mentoring junior staff.* Supervision of a variety of projects, both office and site based* Performing required activities associated with projects (ground investigation, site & laboratory testing and analysis and design) * Preparation of relevant Health and Safety documentation, SI Factual and design reports.* Maintaining on-going communication with relevant project managers, contractors and clients when require* Provide project management, technical direction, undertake soil/rock logging for all ground investigation projects under your control;* Compiling and reviewing completed engineering logs and other engineering work to ensure accuracy;* Contamination/Environmental assessments;* Supervision of Geo-environmental works and interpretation of data;* Ensure that operations are in line with the client's health and safety policy * Develop innovative and entrepreneurial thinking and behaviour;* Build a profile in the industry and keep up-to-date with innovations and developments;Capabilities and Qualifications:Candidate must have:* Qualification to MSc level (or equivalent) in a Geo-environmental related discipline such as civil engineering, geology, engineering geology, environmental science or physical geography.* Strong Geo-environmental background experience * Extensive Phase I and Phase II investigations experience* Strong Geo-environmental background experience and skills including in depth understanding of the Geo-environmental, land contamination and remediation aspects of development projects.* Experience completing factual and interpretative Preliminary Risk Assessments (desk based and intrusive assessment) and Detailed Quantitative Risk Assessments (DQRA).* Sound understanding of current and emerging environmental legislation.* Experience of delivering contaminated aspects of development projects through the planning framework.* Ability to write technically sound and commercially focused proposals and reports.* Excellent communication skills including oral, written and presentation skills.* Ability to provide technical leadership and mentoring to less experienced staff.* Highly motivated and adaptable with solution orientated approach.Contact Us:If you are interested in finding out more about this position or similar roles currently and would like a discreet non-committal chat please contact Jeremy Money (email@example.com).
