Acre has partnered exclusively with The Lego Group to identify their new Customer and Consumer Engagement Director, to join the wider Environmental Responsibility (ER) team. The role is based in Enfield, Connecticut.You will own the customer, consumer and shopper focussed ER agenda, with a particular focus on sustainable materials and renewable energy. In doing so, you will work collaboratively across the group to coherently manage customer and consumer needs and liaise with international NGOs whilst forecasting future issues and reacting accordingly.The main responsibilities of this role include:Working closely with the consumer insights team, to develop and drive a program that enables LEGO to gain deep insights into the needs and challenges of their customers, shoppers and consumers in regard to environmental responsibility at both a product and brand levelUsing insights to influence the environmental responsibility agenda by, in collaboration with others, designing and implementing a coherent communication plan towards customers, shoppers and consumersLeading LEGO's approach on partnering with NGOs for success in environmental responsibility, and in particular owning and driving their relationship with WWFBeing proactive and pragmatic in understanding environmental legislation that affects LEGO's customers and shoppers globally. Anticipating current and future customer and consumer needs and creating innovative, forward thinking responsesActing as the "go to" contact for ER in the Americas and APAC markets on topics including legislation and stakeholder engagement. Driving and coordinating local initiatives where requiredTo qualify for this exciting position, you will have relevant experience creating and implementing sustainability strategies, ideally with a customer and consumer focus, and preferably within a global FMCG company. You will also have a desire to continuously expand your knowledge, and demonstrate the ability to lead, influence and collaborate effectively.Additionally, you will have:Stakeholder management expertise with the ability to represent LEGO and engage with retailers, industry partners, legislators and other external stakeholdersWorked within Environmental Sustainability/CSR in a commercial or manufacturing environment with B2B and B2C experiencePrevious experience leading on partnership engagement, ideally with NGO's and/or similar stakeholdersA degree level education, preferably in sustainability or corporate responsibilityProved your ability to quickly understand the full breath of a company's value chain to an extent that enables you to make clear decisionsThis is a truly unique opportunity to drive a step change in LEGO's Environmental Responsibility reputation, and be part of a global family that continue to fulfil their "Planet Promise" - creating positive impact by achieving the highest possible environmental performance while ensuring LEGO products can reach and benefit children worldwide.
