JSM are excited to be working with a leading multidisciplinary consultancy based in Warrington, who are looking for a Civil Infrastructure Engineer to join their growing team.My client are seeking an experienced civil engineer preferably experienced in fluvial design and flood risk management to join the expanding team within their Warrington office. The successful candidate will be a technical lead, principally in fluvial engineering and with an interest in developing new business. Reporting to the Principal Engineer you will assist with the preparation of tenders and be directly responsible for project delivery of a wide range of engineering and environmental improvement projects, including flood risk assessments, options appraisal with cost benefit analysis aiding FDGiA applications in partnership with Lead Local Flood Authorities, outline design and detailed scheme design.You will mentor and supervise junior staff and will have experience of managing projects and working closely with clients. You will be a chartered (preferably through ICE) or near chartered civil engineer and able to demonstrate a broad range of civil and environmental engineering experience. You will be expected to have an appreciation of hydrology, hydraulic modelling, hydraulic design and other aspects related to river and coastal flood risk management. A good understanding of current design standards, scheme appraisal guidance, Strategic Flood Risk Assessments and National Planning Policy Framework is also required.You will have a demonstrable ability to communicate effectively with the Environment Agency, local government and other risk management authorities, with excellent report writing skills. Experience in asset inspection and site supervision would also be beneficial.Qualifications and ExperienceApplicants should be a chartered engineer or close to becoming chartered and have a proven track record in project delivery.
