Acre has been engaged by a leading non-profit travel association and membership body to identify a Marketing and Communications Executive to join their team.Working specifically in their sustainable tourism certification brand, you will work with leading tour operators and hotels chains around the world, focusing on sustainability, environmental responsibility and social issues within their supply chains.Responsibilities include:Develop and execute effective marketing campaignsWrite and distribute press releases and identify marketing and communication opportunitiesManage and develop key account relationships with hotel chains and tour operator including their marketing and communications departmentsOrganise and deliver UK and overseas events, roadshows and trade fair activitiesOversee the website and ensure the content and technology are up to date and relevantEnsure the marketing campaigns are inline with the other relevant departmentsReporting directly into the Commercial Director, the successful candidate will support in the execution of social media strategies and campaigns across a range of stakeholder groups, particularly with a consumer focus. You will manage the website and its contents and be solely responsible for identifying marketing and communication opportunities.Skills and capabilities:Experience of developing and managing websites, including producing engaging content, implementing strategies for increasing website traffic and analysing traffic using web analyticsProven track record of delivering marketing activities, coordinating campaigns; producing marketing collateral, exhibitions, event and conferencesProficient in the use of email marketing software and click-through analyticsExcellent written communications skills, including the ability to write engaging, accurate copy, press releases, editorial pieces and presentationsEducated to degree level or equivalent with a marketing, communications or relevant disciplineAbility to travel nationally and internationally at short noticeThis role will provide the opportunity to gain a complete overview of the sustainable tourism market. As part of a young and energetic team, you will support member businesses in their sustainability plans, sustainable tourism agenda and directly impact the sustainability of destinations around the world.
