Acre has been engaged exclusively by an Independent Power Producer ("IPP") with an international portfolio of solar projects to identify a Health, Safety, Environment and Community(HSEC) Compliance Manager. The HSEC Manager will be brought into the compliance and legal team to design and implement the HSEC agenda across a number of solar plants and projects globally.Key Responsibilities Development and launch the HSEC policy and standards, together with the legal teamDevelopment and maintenance of an HSEC Management System to ensure compliance with the HSEC Policy across the sites globallyProvide HSEC oversight of EIAs, ESIAs and environmental and social management plansProvide HSEC guidance and support to senior management and project managers/contractors, including the development of HSEC strategic objectives and their integration into the wider businessWhile experience of HSEC management is important, the correct mind-set is essential - our client is looking for someone who can make things happen; a self-starter with an attention to detail and a desire to work with a degree of autonomy in a growing company.Skills and Experience required:NEBOSH/NCRQ Certificate or relevant environmental qualificationInterpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively at all levelsExperience of management systems and auditing (preferably including environmental, health and safety and social management systems and standards such as ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001)Experience of managing remote staff and international projectsThis role will require around 25% international travel and will be a great opportunity for a compliance professional with broad experience to join a growing company in the renewable energy industry, and assist in setting up effective compliance systems while offering expert HSEC advice to the business.
