Acre is excited to partner exclusively with a London based, boutique, economics consultancy which advises clients on markets, regulation and policy across the energy, water and infrastructure sectors in the UK and internationally. With 2/3rds of their work in sub-Saharan Africa and the Asia Pacific, our client is a highly specialised consultancy in emerging economies and has significantly impacted policy frameworks that have been instrumental in the sustainable development of these countries.The Managing Consultant will be responsible for the execution of a significant energy efficiency policy project with the EBRD, alongside the long-term objective of developing an energy efficiency practice within the consultancy.Responsibilities will include:Working with governments, regulators, and international finance institutions to develop mechanisms and programmes for promoting and funding energy efficiency initiativesProject managing multi-million Euro projects and coordinating teams of 5-10 consultants, often based in disparate global locationsWinning projects and securing new clients, including the creation of technical and financial tendersTravelling internationally and managing complex stakeholder relationships with foreign ministers, often speaking at events and leading large workshops of 200+ peopleContributing to the team culture and developing the consultative toolkit of consultant and analyst level employeesThe successful candidate will be a recognised expert within energy policy, possessing a strong track record of policy programme design.The candidate will also possess:A relevant academic background, preferably in a sustainability, engineering, or economics related field. Minimum MA/MScExceptional project management and organisational skills, including the ability to work across multiple complex work-streams, coordinate resources, and effectively manage stakeholdersSignificant experience working internationally on the development of energy efficiency policy frameworks, with additional languages to English being a bonus (ideally French)Entrepreneurial acumen, with a track record of identifying and pursuing market opportunities, developing services, and translating this into sustainable revenue growthThis is an excellent opportunity to join an exciting specialist consultancy with a 50% win rate against pitches, and have a significant long-term contribution as a leader within the business.
