Acre is pleased to partner exclusively with Stark, one of the world's leading providers of energy data services, in sourcing an Operations Director for a newly created role within a subsidiary company. The subsidiary has recently reached a turnover of £2m and 40 staff, with Stark now looking to invest further in the business in order to achieve the next phase of growth. The Operations Director will be fundamental to securing the future development of the business, with objectives to double revenue and reinforce their position as the UK's premier AMR services company.Responsibilities include:Operational:Establish presence as the key liaison point for internal and external stakeholdersDrive the operational process towards entering new markets, including achieving and maintaining accreditationsEnsure business infrastructure such as IT, staffing, and property is fit for purpose and future proofed in line with company growth targetsMake certain all jobs are scheduled appropriately and that delivery staff and sub-contractors time is optimisedSales:Support the Sales Director in providing a clearly presented pipeline management system to ensure all Sales Team members have clear visibility over won, lost and live opportunitiesAssist the Sales Director in evaluating the profitability and operational impact of all current, potential and incoming projectsAssist the Sales Director in preparing presentational collateral and propositions to help win new business and present those solutions to current and potential customersFinancial:Hold primary responsibility of building out budgets and forecasts as required by stakeholdersEnsure all overheads, expenses, hotel and fleet costs are adequately controlledHelp ensure that all jobs are invoiced to clients on a timely basis and cash is received from clients.Managerial:Put in place relevant reporting structures to allow all stakeholders full and transparent visibility of the business structureHave primary responsibility for all non-sales staff and sub-contractorsThe successful candidate will have the following experience:A history of leading operations for a rapidly expanding company within a relevant sectorPrevious experience in the development of organisational infrastructure necessary to support business growthStrong financial credentials, with the ability to manage significant finances and make reliable revenue forecastsRobust commercial background, including input into the development of service offerings, senior level engagement, and creation of proposal materialsKnowledge of metering, MOP services, AMR installation and maintenance (including electricity gas, water, heat and sub-metering)With ambitious targets over the next 5 years, the Operations Director will play a leadership role in moving the business beyond its current position, offering the right individual a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to share in the company's success.
