About the role BWB Consulting has an exciting opportunity for Environmental Consultant to be based in our Birmingham office due to the continued growth in the Environmental Planning Team. Sitting within the Environmental Planning team in Birmingham, and also working with the team in Leeds, the successful applicant will be in involved in a wide range of development projects including EIA and the coordination of other environmental reports and services. The successful applicant will have some experience in either Environmental Project Management or Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA).  Experience in EIA management and coordination is desirable but not essential.  A good knowledge of either Noise, Air Quality, Ecology and Heritage would be beneficial as would a good understanding of the planning process. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop a broad range of technical, coordination and management skills through their involvement with the full range of environmental disciplines whilst working on a range of both urban and rural projects across the UK. About you The successful candidates will be enthusiastic, confident, self-motivated and willing to take the initiative, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ideally the successful candidate will have gained a good level of experience in Environmental Planning or a similar field. Membership of IEMA is desirable but not essential. Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate good experience and working knowledge of the following areas of work: Experience in EIA Experience in one of Noise, Air Quality, Ecology or Heritage. Experience of project management with an understanding of the planning process. Excellent verbal, written and communication skills and a keen eye for detail. Experience and proficiency in using GIS and Autocad packages would be advantageous. Ability to deliver projects on time and within budget with a strong focus on client care in project management and delivery. Willingness to travel and a full driving license are essential to the role. Closing Date 23rd July 2016
