Acre has been engaged by one of the world's largest Facilities Management services provider to identify a new Environmental Advisor, who will ensure that the business has a working and robust Environmental Management System (EMS). The intent is to have a defined Carbon Reduction Process across all aspects of their UK business. The EMS must also be maintained and developed, and you will need to ensure that Carbon & Environmental audits are scheduled and fulfilled with statistical information provided as required by the business.Key ResponsibilitiesTo act as the Carbon Champion for the business and drive appropriate behaviours to promote a better culture in terms of Carbon ManagementHelp to instigate projects appropriate to the different business divisions to promote the counting and reduction of Carbon throughout all operational tasksProvide Environmental advice and support to divisional/regional management to ensure compliance in all areas of Environmental legislationTake responsibility for the integration of the ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 systems into the UK's IMS and carryout tasks required to prepare for the environmental aspects of the IMS audit.Carry out Environmental Audits, inspections, incident investigations, and monitor existing arrangements as requiredPrepare statistics for top level management on incidents, and other areas relating to environmental management. This includes the requirements for reporting on a quarterly basis to groupThe successful candidate will have an appropriate environmental related qualification or equivalent in building services engineering, and some experience of managing environmental issues in a complex or corporate environment. You should also have up to date knowledge of current Carbon Issues and reduction strategies.
