Consents Officers (National Projects) | £33k - 41k | Warwick Consents Officers (DCO Projects) | £40 - £49k | Warwick & Leeds Bonus|Additional Hours Payments|Car, Share Scheme, Flexible Benefits, 25 days holiday As a town planning or environmental assessment professional, you’ll get the opportunity to gain consent for a diversity of nationally significant energy infrastructure projects, across both electricity and gas, from the major and contentious to the minor and critical, from new power station connections to national programmes of improvement works, from Development Consent Orders to Habitats Regulations Assessments and marine licences. In doing so, you'll set the consent strategy, challenge and guide the design of the project, work collaboratively with other disciplines, and undertake the necessary stakeholder engagement and public consultation to get the best result for the business. That means making sure that the necessary resources are brought in ahead of need, strong enduring relationships are built, best practice is applied, and lessons learnt are captured and shared. Project Development Officer (Business Management) | £40k - £49k | Warwick Bonus I Additional Hours Payments I Car, Share Scheme, Flexible Benefits, 25 days holiday In this role you'll get the opportunity to provide expert consents and environmental guidance to the business primarily during the formative stages of project development, determining project programmes and costs, and preserving the company's reputation from the beginning. You'll ensure that project proposals are fully understood, that initial consents and land strategies are set, and that projects are properly handed-over to the consents projects teams for delivery. You’ll also need to build strong enduring relationships with stakeholders across the business, maximising the visibility of the team, and communicating its associated technical capabilities, experience and capacity; and ultimately be involved in winning consenting work across the wider business, and beyond. What you will need to be successful in the role: Relevant degree (Town and Country Planning; Environmental Impact Assessment; Environmental Sciences; Landscape Architecture, or equivalent);  MRTPI, MILA, MIEMA or equivalent preferred;  Experience in delivering project consents-related activities to programme, cost and specification;  Experience in effectively leading and managing external resources, including specialists, to deliver consents-related activities;  Excellent understanding of the consents and lands disciplines, and the relationships between them;  Project management skills, specifically in relation to forecasting, procuring and managing Land and Development resources;  Excellent communication and presentation skills with experience in presenting information to diverse audiences;  Ability to engage effectively and productively with stakeholders, internally and externally, to the appropriate level.
