Acre has been engaged by a fast growing, global engineering consultancy to identify a Telemetry / Network Engineer in a newly created role. The consultancy has a successful track record and is in a phase of expansion. The successful candidate will work with a number of the UK's most recognisable brands, reducing their utility and energy consumption. The successful candidate will typically work on commercial offices, education, and retail through to residential schemes.   Responsibilities will include: Provide technical and operational engineering support related to the telemetry, networking and system security for wider company projects This will involve a combination of R&D conceptual design and proof of concept through to field deployment, commissioning and operational support activities The work will cover all aspects on the data connectivity from field devices through to the main cloud based server Building and maintaining a telemetry test bench for internal training and customer demonstration purposes Responsible for taking lead role in the design, implementation and operation of data security features such as soft/hard firewalls, networked switches, VPNs etc Candidates will be required to demonstrate a proven ability to work with client representatives and build relationships based on successful projects that lead to new work opportunities. In addition, candidates will be involved in training and tech support to the engineering team. Skills required: Relevant academic background: Minimum 2:1 degree ((Electrical/Electronic Engineering, CCNA(Cisco) Minimum 3-5 years industrial experience (Automation, Electronics, IT, Networking Engineer role) Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage internally across the organisation and with clients A willingness to travel and complete on-site works This is an exciting opportunity, to work on projects for some of the UK's most recognisable brands, in an aspirational and globally operational firm.
