Acre is working with a leading Non-Profit organisation that is re-inventing how we design, produce and sell products, to help identify two sector specialists in product design and/or sustainable sourcing.Reporting into the Head of Sustainable Food, the ideal candidates will help the largest food & drink sector businesses to identify, implement and embed changes into their supply chains leading them to be measurably, more resource-efficient.Core responsibilities:Ensuring that hotspots in the supply chain are identified and addressed to improve the environmental performance and economic gain for all stakeholders involvedProviding technical leadership and support on the strategy, design and execution of new 2025 programme to maximise impact with food and drink retailers and manufacturersDelivering compelling, robust and credible information around best practice to stakeholdersDeveloping and maintaining high-level relationships with relevant stakeholders in businesses, trade associations, governments, professional institutes and research organisationsSharing knowledge on key markets and technological developments relevant to food/drink retail & manufacturing across the organisationWorking alongside the Programme Area Manager, Key Account Managers and Project Managers to collaborate best practice in the industry, your role will focus on creating a solution to the main environmental challenges that face the food and drink industry today. This is an exciting opportunity to gain exposure across a range of global retailers, major trade bodies whilst also supporting a leading voluntary organisation that is at the forefront of food sustainability.Skills and capabilities:Ability and credibility to work with retailer and manufacturer teams to facilitate and advise on changes to practiceRelevant technical experience in the food and drink retail sector and supply chains (including new product design and/or buying and sourcing)Demonstrable evidence of securing and implementing change with project management experience and the ability to work autonomously or as part of a teamSkilled in influencing and negotiation, combined with the ability to problem solveKnowledge of or experience in Technical/Quality Management, Regulatory Affairs & Global Food Safety Standards (Desirable)Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline (desirable)This position will give you the chance to tackle challenges that businesses cannot address on their own and support leading food and drink retailers in driving resource efficiency through their business as well as working within a leading and highly regarded organisation.
