As Air Quality Manager at HS2 you will be responsible for developing and managing HS2 Ltd policies and practices related to air quality in order to ensure the delivery of the programmes air quality commitments across the organisation and into the supply chain. About the role: Develop and oversee the delivery of air quality (and related policies/plans) for HS2 in keeping with programme needs, statutory requirements and broader external requirements in order to deliver on topic related commitments, including finalising and assuring related Corporate, Phase One and Phase Two topic plans. Coach, up-skill and influence colleagues from across the organisation to ensure air quality issues are key considerations in project decision making and management processes and start to shift the culture in this area, including working alongside the delivery owners to jointly develop and track performance against plans. Deliver high quality technical support and advice to the project in order to ensure the best possible outcomes from an air quality perspective and ensure compliance with HS2 agreed standards and legislation. Take responsibility for managing key external stakeholders around specific air quality issues (within the overall consultation strategy) in order to develop fit for purpose air quality plans and gain necessary engagement. About You: Degree (or equivalent) and Masters in a relevant environmental subject Membership of a relevant professional organisation Track record of leading air quality management on a major infrastructure/complex projects including; leading on change management to embed practices, policy development experience, supply chain exposure and air quality performance measurements Excellent knowledge of relevant legislation, policy and best practice Proven Project Management capability It is expected that you will actively promote and embed Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in all your work and support and comply with all organisational initiatives, policies and procedures on EDI.
