Acre have been engaged by the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) to source an accomplished and knowledgeable Programme Coordinator to lead their work around the UN Guiding Principals on Business and Human Rights (UNGP).The ETI is a leading alliance of over 90 companies, trade unions and NGOs that promotes and respect for workers' rights around the world.Responsible for leading the ETI's work on due diligence and the UNGP, you will be involved in developing leadership, building capacity, sharing knowledge, expertise and enabling lesson learning. You will work with the organisation's members to establish and manage pilot projects and carefully monitor and evaluate these projects.Other responsibilities include:Building capacity and improving the ETI's member understanding of the UNGP and human rights due diligenceLeading evaluations of a number of ETI's supply chain programmes in relation to the UNGPs and ETIs due diligence frameworkSpearheading the development of new due diligence demonstration initiatives with ETI members in different countries and varying supply chainsSupporting capacity building, lesson learning and building local partnerships in focus countriesCommissioning research and analysis on relevant country, sector, industry labour and human rights risks in supply chainsWorking at a senior level with ETI staff, global brands and retailers, global trade union federations and international NGI's, the Programme Coordinator will need to demonstrate considerable experience of working in a multi-stakeholder environment. Skills and capabilities:Strong understanding and practical experience of the protect, respect and remedy framework or corporate and human rights due diligenceDemonstrable experience of labour rights and standardsExperience of developing and maintaining robust working relationships and partnershipsExcellent verbal and written communication skills Exceptional project management skillsNatural problem solverThis is a great opportunity for an engaging and pragmatic individual to join the ETI and play an instrumental part in their new five year strategy.
