The leading trade association for the UK Plastic Industry, the British Plastics Federation (BPF) has asked Acre to hire a Packaging Industrial Issues Executive.Managing and developing the key forums for BPF member firms that operate in the plastics and flexible packaging and industrial films sector, this role leads on all liaisons with the BPF's Plastics and Flexible Packaging Group.Additional responsibilities include:Identifying issues of concern and trends that affect our members by means of liaison with members and proactive researchSupporting the development of critical communications and lobbying materials where requiredReviewing consultations that affect members to help or formulate responses and execute work streams arising from these consultation sessionsManaging all accounts, maintaining contacts and fostering excellent relationships within the GroupIdeally educated to degree level, you will have commercial or industrial working experience, preferably in the plastics industry, packaging industry or elsewhere in the logistics chain where packaging is used.Skills and attributes:Experience of building and maintaining strong working relationships at all levels, in and outside of an organisationOutstanding interpersonal skills, combined with excellent written and verbal communication skillsWell organised and disciplined project management skills with an aptitude to handle business sensitive and complex informationAbility to work on own initiative and as part of a teamThe role offers the successful applicant the phenomenal exposure to the plastics industry at a senior level as well as brand owners, retailers and Government.
