Acre has been engaged by a leading charity and membership organisation, the UK Green Building Council (UK-GBC), to identify a Sustainability Learning Manager. The UK-GBC campaigns for a sustainable built environment, with a diverse membership of more than 400 organisations that span the entire built environment.Reporting directly into the Head of Learning and Development, the successful candidate will lead the effective management and strategic development of the UK-GBC's Learning and Development (L&D) Programme. You will manage and develop planned and bespoke training courses for the UK-GBC's members and coordinate with the UK-GBC's network of industry experts to deliver the training.Core responsibilities:Strategic development and management of the L&D Programme including planning, development and implementation of bespoke and online training coursesRelationship management and analysis with key member organisations to identify their needs and how they can be met through the UK-GBC L&D ProgrammeCourse development of both online and bespoke courses that reflect the latest thinkingEffective project management of the training programmes through budget monitoring and business planningWork alongside the UK-GBC members and the wider sector to identify industry trends to implement these into the UK-GBC's L&D ProgrammesThe Sustainability Learning Manager will have a strong background in sustainability and have experience as a programme manager. You will have a track record of delivering high impact projects from the planning phase through to implementation.Skills and capabilities:Undergraduate degree in a relevant environmental or property related subjectSubstantial experience as a sustainability expert in the built environment from either industry, government or other stakeholder groupsProven project management capabilities with the ability to juggle multiple projects/activitiesStrong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail, combined with the ability to use your initiativePost-graduate degree and five or more years in building/property sector is highly desirableIn this newly formed role, you will have a 360 degree view of the built environment market place. You will have the opportunity to work with a range of companies and have a positive impact on the evolution of green buildings.
