Acre has been engaged by a multinational construction and development company to identify an Environment Manager - Waste. Working for a leading business within the construction industry this role will provide the business with expert advice in order to fulfil the organisations aspirations in the selection of sustainable and non-hazardous materials. The role will also focus on minimising the production of waste across all aspects of its operations including; construction, infrastructure projects (road, rail) and utilities.Key Responsibilities:* Managing and maintaining materials and waste processes, procedures and forms in line with legislation, standards, and forthcoming policy* Advising, producing and approving Materials Management Plans, Sampling Plans, Resource Management Plans, and Site Waste Management Plans * Assisting in the development and delivery of materials and waste training for all project staff* Reporting to key stakeholders and representing and promoting the materials team in meetings, workshops, both internally and externallyTo take on this position and join this high profile organisation, the successful individual will have waste management experience ideally in the construction sector.In addition they will hold:* Chartered Membership of the Institute of Waste Management (CMIWM), or working towards CMIWM* A Degree level qualification in appropriate environmental, waste, or materials discipline* CL:AIRE DoW Code of Practice Qualified Person (Contaminated Land)* Knowledge of current legislation and other requirements regarding materials and waste managementThis is a brilliant opportunity to work with one of the world's best known and most highly regarded contractors, with the potential to make a huge positive environmental contribution across massive programmes of work.
