Our client are a leading Environmental Consultancy, combining landscape architecture, masterplanning, ecology, and heritage, to resolve complex and large scale design and planning issues. They are now looking for an Experienced Ecologist to join their team in Oxfordshire. The successful candidate will have:  -Good working knowledge of a broad range of British fauna and flora -Ability to carry out surveys for a wide range of habitats and species, such as Phase 1 Habitat, reptile, badger, bat and amphibian surveys -Working knowledge of nature conservation legislation and best practice guidance -Good report writing and communication skills -Educated to at least BSc/ HND level in a relevant discipline -Hold at least one licence to survey for European Protected Species (preferably bats, great crested newts and/ or dormice) -Experience in the design and implementation of cost and time efficient mitigation schemes -Familiarity with the UK planning system -Ability to confidently advise clients and consultees on a wide range of ecological matters -Competence in use of graphics software (e.g. Adobe suite)  -Hold Graduate, Associate or Full Membership of CIEEM -Hold specialism in a particular field of ecology (e.g. tree climbing bat surveys, invertebrate surveys) or complementary discipline (e.g. arboriculture) In return our client are offering a competitive salary and a generous benefits package.
