Acre is working in partnership with a leading alliance of companies, trade unions and NGOs that promotes respect for workers' rights around the globe, the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI), to identify a Senior Accountability and Benchmarking Advisor. The successful individual will report into the Head of Membership Services and work closely with private sector companies to benchmark on ethical supply chain management. Core responsibilities:Developing M&E methods for corporate performance, tools and systems for ETI's accountability pillar of the five-year strategyLeading and undertaking research on the value of credible performance management, transparency and accountability systemsAnalysing gaps between identified good industry practice and current system and processesConsulting with ETI members, secretariats and NGOs and TU reviewers on content and processManaging the development of and transferring onto a new online reporting systemThis role requires significant technical expertise in benchmarking private companies, which will entail revision of frameworks, development of new key performance indicators, management of a web based platform (through additional external experts). The successful candidate will be required to manage the possess review and design of this new platform.Skills and capabilities:Experience having worked in procurement, CSR, risk, Q&A or social auditing or reporting capacity or equivalent, in a private sector company or consultancy preferably retailProven experience with benchmarking and reporting of commercial activitiesExpertise in responsible sourcing and corporate responsibility, ideally with a strong knowledge of ethical tradeWide experience with diverse groups of clients and stakeholders, both for profit and not for profit, at senior decision maker and budget holder levelGraduate degree in information sciences, social sciences or related field, or equivalent through work experienceThe role is core to ETI's organisational developmental and requires significant technical expertise in benchmarking private sector companies for ethical supply chain management in support of workers' rights worldwide.This is an exciting opportunity to gain exposure across a range of global retailers, major trade bodies whilst also supporting a leading voluntary organisation that is at the forefront of food sustainability across the supply chain.
