JOB PURPOSE:           The HSEQ/IT compliance team forms part of the Services Division and is responsible for identifying and mitigating the major risks for the company and compliance against specific contractual and best practice standards. We are looking for a Sustainability HSEQ/IT Senior Compliance Advisor to join the team, this person must specialise in sustainability, in particular, carbon reduction, energy reporting, 14001 aspects, impacts management and environmental forums for compliance, but will also cover contractual work and compliance auditing for Health & Safety, it governance, quality, and information security management standards. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead for the team in Carbon Reduction, Energy Reporting, Aspects and Impacts. Management experience of leading on planning, implementing and undertaking Environmental Risk assessments in owned and share premises. Co-ordinate the review, Environmental accident/incident statistics, absence statistics, risk assessments and risk registers, highlighting trends and analysis to impact on weekly reporting. Undertake risk assessments, assisting all areas of SPS and our contracted services providers to remain proactive in assessing and minimising information all risks and business impacts. Provide input into tenders, client questionnaire and client visits in respect of, environmental, quality management aspects and the impact on H&S and information security. Ability to assist in the coordination of ongoing business continuity processes and in developing business continuity plans and tests. Active involvement in reducing service incidents by linking failing business processes via the SIF process and performing audits, producing action plans and quality of service reviews. Encourage a continual service improvement culture within SPS, Assist the HSEQ/IT Compliance Manager with the compliance system forums, Focus 5, social involvement projects, diversity initiatives, management reviews and associated activities. Records management. Update and advise on changes to environmental policies, and procedures, cascading and implementing details with managers and staff.    Keep abreast of new developments in certification standards, legal updates for environmental, best practices. Work with the HSEQ/IT Compliance Manager to update human resources to ensure the implementation of consistent disciplinary action strategies in cases of compliance violation. Understanding of IT and experience in developing IT governance, controls and best practices. Agreement to attend new training and updates on compliance in line with the vision of SPS Any other duties as designated applicable by your line manager.   PERSON SPECIFICATION: The ideal candidate will display knowledge and experience of the following: Qualified Sustainability Manager with membership of professional body e.g. IEMA. Qualified in auditing 14001 and of assessing site for ESOS compliance. Experienced of project management of carbon, energy, social Involvement and diversity initiatives and reporting. Experienced in conducting general risk assessments and Aspect and Impacts management. Experienced in working to KPI’s and reporting. Experienced in reporting and investigating incidents/accidents/breaches. Experience in writing procedures, assessing individual units and conducting audits. Experience of working proactively with internal and external stakeholders and Enforcing Authorities Confident self-motivated person with excellent written and verbal forms of communication. Working accurately, under pressure, to tight deadlines with the ability to remain calm. A strong team player with the ability to multi-task and prioritise workload. Intermediate IT skills – Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Databases, Email and Web.
