Our client are an environmental consultancy seeking to recruit an Experienced Ecologist to join their team in Sussex.  The suitable candidate will have a minimum of two years experience in consultancy, undertaking protected species surveys, and reports.You should be experienced in producing technical reports including, Ecological Assessments, EPS licence applications, EcIA and BREEAM and experienced in liaising with clients and government/ stakeholders, with a proven ability to identify and facilitate solutions. Essentials: -BSc, or MSc in related subject -Associate or above Membership of CIEEM -A minimum of two years' experience in ecological consultancy -Hold at least one Natural England EPS licence -Survey experience for a variety of habitats and protective species -Experience of writing reports and method statements -Working knowledge of UK and EU wildlife legislation and planning policies -Previous experience of CAD Job Role: -Carry out and supervise protected species surveys -Work independently and as part of a team -Produce concise, clear reports -Contribute to EcIA, EPS licence-applications and BREEAM assessments. -Contribute to business development -Manage junior staff and sub-contractors for field work -Liaise and communicate effectively with clients, third parties (NE, LPAs) and colleagues -Support Director of Ecology and Managing Director In return our client offer a competitive salary with an excellent benefits package
