Our client are an environmental consultancy who are now seeking a Senior Ecologist to lead their office in Cambridgeshire.  The suitable candidate should have a minimum of four years in ecology consultancy with project management and proven business development experience. You should be experienced in producing technical reports including EPS licence applications, EcIA and BREEAM and be experienced in liaising with clients and government/ stakeholders, with a proven ability to identify and facilitate solutions. Essentials:     -MSc in related discipline -Full CIEEM membership -Minimum of Four years consultancy experience -Demonstrable  business development experience, and enthusiasm for growing the company -Highly organised and self-motivated -Two or more protected species licences -Have held a mitigation protected species licence -Good knowledge of UK and EU wildlife legislation and local planning policies/process Job Role: -Identify and attend marketing events -Liaise with clients/potential clients to promote the growth of the company -Co-ordinate and implement a range of ecological and habitat surveys -Co-ordinate and implement protected species surveys -Organise and manage junior staff and sub-contractors for field work -Liaising with and providing high quality technical support and advice to our clients -Project, budget and staff management, production of tenders -Attend meetings on behalf of clients -Support Director of Ecology and Managing Director In return our client offer a competitive salary with an excellent benefits package
