Our client is a privately owned Water Treatment Company that has been established for twenty years. The Senior Management have a wealth of knowledge within the water treatment industry not only able to carry out the servicing and repair of their own equipment, they are more than happy to service all water treatment manufacturer's equipment as well. The company provides hardware, installation, contract maintenance and breakdown servicing of all types of water treatment and water purification equipment throughout the UK and Ireland. In addition to this the company offers Legionella Risk assessments and water hygiene services.  The company works extensively, but not exclusively, within the health market, including NHS and Private Hospitals, and also have extensive expertise in the industrial markets.  An opportunity has arisen for an experienced sales / account manager, to expand and develop the business within both the equipment sales and water hygiene sector of the company. The candidate will ideally be based in the Home Counties, with experience in new business development, and maintaining accounts within this market sector.  Candidates should have a proven track record in sales to this market, be able to work under their own initiative and with minimal supervision.  The role will involve direct sales of Water Treatment equipment supply and installations, service contracts, and Water Hygiene services to the end user, reporting to the sales manager via verbal and written communication.  This is a new role, to develop and expand the business  The role will require the candidate to manage their own lead generation, conversion to customers, produce quotations and manage the accounts opened.  The company operates throughout the UK therefore the candidate must be prepared to travel.  Key responsibilities  Selling Water Treatment equipment and servicing, along with Water hygiene services direct to the end user, covering all markets sectors, including NHS, industrial and commercial  Generating new business leads, with follow up and conversion to customers  Producing quotations against specification or tender requirements  Quote/ tender follow up and closing contracts  Generating client log books as required  Managing the service schedules for awarded contracts and liaise with engineers  Managing accounts with feedback from engineer's visits and remedial works required  Maintaining up-to date database records  Role Requirements  Proven track record within the Water Treatment and Water Hygiene industry  Experience at new lead and new business generation  Excellent sales and negotiation skills  A good understanding of business, costs and profitability  Good interpersonal skills, with excellent spoken and written communication  Good organisational skills, be able to prioritise work load effectively and work under pressure  Ability to produce quotations against tenders and meet deadlines  Computer literate with good working knowledge of Word, Excel and Powerpoint  In return the company offer a competitive salary and bonus scheme
