Our client is a specialist Environmental Consultancy working within the Aquatic Science Industry working with every aspect of the scientific management of freshwater and marine habitats. They are now currently seeking an Associate Director/ Principal Consultant to work to join their team in Edinburgh. The role will entail leading, developing and expanding the Edinburgh consultancy team. This will involve the delivery of current projects as well as securing new business opportunities within Scotland. You will work within and across a wider team of aquatic and remote sensing practitioners to deliver projects across the UK, but with a key focus on Scotland. The successful candidate will work with a wide variety of environmental & engineering consultancies, government agencies and regulatory bodies as well as other external stakeholders Relevant experience: -Extensive previous environmental consultancy experience (preferably in Scotland). - Comfortable working in both a technical and commercial environment. -Technically outstanding in an aquatic science or remote sensing discipline or alternatively in  a field that provides synergy with current areas e.g. terrestrial ecology -Project delivery, stakeholder engagement and client management, within a fast paced, commercial environment. -Team management, mentoring and development. -Developing, managing and working to budgets. -Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. -Reviewing, producing and communicating technical reports, including providing effective and constructive feedback to team members as part of an ongoing mentoring and development process.
