Acre has been retained by a high profile, professional services leader to identify a Global Environment, Health and Safety Lead. This prominent organization has over 5000 employees' world wide across 30 countries and is seeking an individual to set and deliver the strategy across the EHS function.The role will focus predominately on environmental sustainability, with a Health and Safety lead reporting into it. This is a multi faceted role and would suit an individual looking to take ownership of the delivery of projects. Key responsibilities will include:Developing and delivering the environment strategy, including compliance with ISO 14001Perpetuating industry trends; assessing the impact of developments and recognising and implementing reaction strategies to ensure complianceCultivating, driving, implementing and supporting environmental projects, including facilitating a number of internal sustainability groupsAct as main point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders, representing the organisation across a range of events, committees and groupsThis is an exciting opportunity to join a household brand and effect real change through forward thinking programs.The successful individual will require:Experience in a similar role developing and implementing environmental strategy, with the ability to liaise with all levels of an organisationStrong understanding of environmental and carbon certifications and legislations including 14001Very strong understanding of current environmental, carbon and sustainability issues facing businesses with proven skills in influencing within a complex matrix structureA relevant qualification in an energy or environmental disciplineA recognised health and safety qualification is preferred or an interest in the area with some professional exposure. It is essential the successful candidate can work both independently and as part of a tight knit team and has the drive to constantly seek improvements in efficiency. Extremely strong project and time management skills coupled with the ability to create innovative solutions are required.
