Through our work, we make a positive difference in the world.  As part of the continued growth of our established multi-disciplinary environment team in Scotland and North East England, we are looking for an experienced environmental planner/EIA practitioner, with a good grounding of planning or environmental consultancy experience.  This is an opportunity for someone who’s excited about working on complex and challenging projects and invested in their own professional development by progressing towards RTPI and/or IEMA full membership.      We have a new opportunity for an Environmental Planner / EIA Specialist to join our multi-disciplinary team in Edinburgh.  It’s an opportunity to fulfil a varied role on a wide range of projects, which will include: •    Coordinating EIA’s •    Preparing Environmental Statements and other environmental reports •    Advising clients on the UK development planning systems (including Scotland)  •    Project managing multidisciplinary environmental teams •    Technical report writing  •    Client facing on projects and seeking new work •    Project and team administration duties  •    Producing project related correspondence and reports  •    Coordinating work of engineers and other environmental technical specialists •    Line management of junior staff Requirements: •    Typically approximately five years of consultancy experience •    Degree qualified in environmental science or other related field  •    Ideally a post-graduate qualification of MSc or higher  •    Current track record of working on environmental projects (onshore and/or offshore), in a consulting environment  •    Beginning to get involved in business development  •    Excellent project management experience, including QA procedures and financial systems •    Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment  •    Able to quickly develop successful client relationships  •    Able to work independently with minimum supervision  •    Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines is essential  •    Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills  •    Excellent communications skills (both written and verbal)  •    Highly motivated and willing to take on new challenges •    Ability to flex skills and approach across a wide range of project types Reward and Benefits: We offer a competitive salary at all levels, and one of the best benefits package in our sector.
