Our client is a large, multi-disciplined environmental consultancy that provides a comprehensive range of services over a broad spectrum of disciplines. They have a large Ecology team based UK wide that provides ecological solutions such as protected species and habitat surveys, EIA and habitat creation and restoration as well as advising clients on issues such as legislation, habitat monitoring and management. Due to continued expansion they now require a Senior Ecologist to join their team in Derbyshire.  Qualifications & Skills: -Must have a degree in a relevant discipline and preferably an MSc -Full Membership of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM) -Chartered Ecologist or Chartered Environmentalist status would be an advantage -A full UK driving licence -Experience as a Senior Ecologist -Experience of undertaking Preliminary Ecological Appraisal, Ecological Impact Assessment, protected species development licence applications and implementation of mitigation on site -Botanical survey skills  -Survey licence for one or more protected species -Experience of project co-ordination, production of bids and management of budgets Role Responsibilities: -Manage and lead the ecological input to a varied range of projects across different sectors -Lead, plan and co-ordinate field surveys and plan and co-ordinate ecological mitigation works -Undertake reporting and ecological impact assessments -Prepare bids and help win work for the team   In return our client offer a competitive salary and a generous benefits package.
