RSK Environment Ltd, a member of RSK Group plc, is looking for high-calibre environmental consultants to join RSK’s growing environmental and consents team in Glasgow and Bristol. These full time roles within our integrated environmental management and assessment team will be based in the respective offices with occasional requirements to work out of site-based and client offices. In Scotland, we have developed a strong philosophy of collaborative working within project teams, together with implementing innovative systems and techniques to drive environmental excellence and wider project efficiency.  Senior/Principal Environmental Consultants –Glasgow/Bristol   The successful candidate will be working on high-profile projects helping some of the UK’s leading organisations to safeguard the environment for the future. We are interested in hearing from candidates who have experience of working on a wide range of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and environmental management projects.  Responsibilities:  Leading EIA projects and other environmental studies and/or undertaking construction phase environmental and consents management activities; Environmental Statement, report and environmental management documentation preparation and editing; Assisting with work winning, proposals and tenders; Working with regulators and liaising with clients; Providing advice on a wide range of environmental issues; and Providing line management and support to junior staff. Guidance on relevant experience for the role: At least five (senior) or eight (principal) years of previous consultancy experience assisting/managing EIA projects and/or undertaking environmental manager/ environmental clerk of works (ECOW) roles on construction projects; Experience in rail and/or electricity transmission would be preferred. Experience in one or more of the following sectors would be desirable: renewable energy including offshore and onshore wind energy, conventional power, EfW, biomass, and property. Good working knowledge of UK environmental legislation; Excellent written and oral communication skills; Good team player, with the ability to work independently; and Enthusiastic and well organised. Person specification BSc degree level qualified in a relevant discipline Preferably MSc qualified in environmental impact assessment, environmental management or related subject.
