Our client enjoys a reputation as one of the country's leading environmental consultancies with specialist staff located throughout the UK. They are looking for to recruit a Senior Geo-Environmental Consultant to join the Manchester office.  You will hold a degree in geology, engineering geology or a relevant environmental science discipline. Whilst not essential, it may be beneficial for you to have studied a Masters degree in a relevant discipline. Alternatively you may be working towards Chartership with a relevant body or you may have attained a CSCS card.  You must have post graduate experience of ground investigations and you will have the skills and knowledge to interpret ground investigations and assessment of land contamination. You must be able to produce Phase 1 geo-environmental desk top study reports incorporating Preliminary Risk Assessments and Phase 2 interpretative reports including quantitative risk assessments.  You must be fully literate as you will be able to write clear, concise and technically robust reports. You will be knowledgeable in current practice and governing standards/guidance for the investigation of contaminated land. This will include familiarity with site investigations, as well as ground water and ground gas monitoring and sampling. You must also have a good understanding of health, safety and environmental management, as applied to ground investigation work.
