Requirements for the Role * Experienced Ecologist CMIEEM (requirement) * Chartered Environmentalist (desirable) * 4 years+ experience in ecological, preferably with consultancy background (desirable) * Natural England Development Licences (desirable) * H&S experience (requirement) * Knowledge of ISO accreditations (requirement)   Personnel Specification You will be a professional ecologist with over 4 years’ experience in ecology and preferably have a consultancy background. You will have excellent organisation skills, be an excellent communicator with advanced skills in client liaison and have a track-record of winning and delivering projects. A valid UK driving licence is essential for this role, as is the flexibility to work outside of normal office hours to achieve project goals and to work away from home, which may or may not be within normal office hours. You will be expected to follow all of our company policies and procedure and ensure that you comply at all times with company Health and Safety Policies. You will have a degree or equivalent in ecology or a related subject to MSc or PhD. You will be a Full Member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM) and preferably be a Chartered Ecologist or Chartered Environmentalist. You will also be accomplished in all of the following: * Client liaison * Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW); * Habitat and Species Surveying; * Environmental Management; * Environmental Assessment (particularly EcIA and HRA); * Environmental Legislation; * Project Management * Information Management (especially higher level report writing) * Technical checking (ecology) * IT Systems and Digital Mapping (Arc GIS)     Job Description Project Management: Responsibility for overall project management of all of Winchester/Bristol offices projects, which includes being the main point of contact for enims’ clients on their projects and also regular client liaison. prepare all fee proposals Client Management: Regular contact with all of enims’ clients in order to develop good business relationships and be the “first point of contact” for enims’ Winchester-based clients. Attendance at client meetings when required. Line Management: enims’ consultancy manager will be responsible for line management of all Winchester-based ecologists, which will include regular reporting to the senior management team on staff’s ecological development and staff KPIs. Ecology (competency related): enims have processes in place to check both the technical accuracy and quality of all reports, fee proposals, letters, and any written advice which is due to be submitted externally. As consultancy manager you will be expected to check reports for technical content and, on occasion, help with quality checking (this includes reports from all enims’ offices). All ecological reports must meet our ISO standards for QMS, EMS, OHSAS, including BS42020 an NHSS18. In-House Training: Responsible for identifying, and where required, delivery of in-house training (competency related). Business Development Working alongside the operations director and the business manager in order to develop new services and management processes. Meeting new clients, providing them with the enthusiasm and confidence that enims is the right ecological consultancy for their projects. BS42020 Excellence Champion drive enims forward in achieving ecological excellence through our British Standard for Biodiversity in Planning BS42020, whilst ensuring enims’ legal compliance at all times
