Senior Landscape Consultant- Manchester & London Our client is a leading UK environmental planning consultancy specialising in Ecology, Landscape Planning and Arboriculture. With a multi-disciplinary team of over 35 professionals across the company, and offices based in several locations throughout the UK, our client offers a professional and bespoke service to their clients. An increasing workload has seen the company continue to expand, making our client one of the fastest growing teams of environmental planning experts in the UK. To support the continued growth and success, our client is looking to recruit a Senior Landscape Architect in their London and Manchester offices. Job Description and Requirements: Successful candidates will be working within a very busy and experienced landscape planning team carrying out landscape and visual impact assessments, landscape and townscape characterisation and assistance with Public Inquiry work. Landscape design and the preparation of landscape strategy / framework documents to assist in the delivery of successful schemes is an important element of the role. Candidates for the Senior Landscape Consultant role should be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills and be highly skilled at the appraisal and assessment process in relation to residential, mixed-use and renewable energy schemes. Experience of project management and direct client contact will be essential. Requirements: * Minimum of five years’ experience and Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI) * Experience of carrying out Landscape & Visual Impact Assessments, including input into landscape design / mitigation strategies * Experience of managing projects on time and to budget, including lead role within multi-disciplinary teams * Experience of business development and involvement or some experience of providing expert witness services would be an advantage * Excellent written skills * A good understanding of software (including AutoCAD, GIS and Adobe Creative Suite) * Full UK driving licence to enable site work   My client is committed to career development for all its employees and have a scale of projects across the UK and overseas as far afield as The Falkland Islands.   Excellent salary and benefits are offered, including one day each month to work with charity or voluntary organisations to help provide a rounded work experience.     Candidates may occasionally be asked to work from our other offices and assist the wider team with inputs to other disciplines.
