Our client is a large environmental consultancy that offers professional advice and technical support services on a wide range of environmental disciplines, covering such diverse areas as Landscape Architecture, Town Planning, Waste Management, Transport Planning, Impact Assessment, Engineering design and asset, Resource and risk management issues They are currently searching to fill 2 active vacancies. One for a CMLI and the other at Assistant level for their Essex based office. Chartered Landscape Architect Position -  The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years' commercial experience in a landscape office. A genuine interest in working in a multi-disciplinary environment with other specialists, including ecologists, planners and environmental planners, will be a bonus.  The key candidate requirements for the role are: A confident, positive and proactive approach Keenness in taking responsibility for projects and people Experience in managing less experienced staff, including mentoring Up to date knowledge of the regulatory & planning environment A flair for creative thinking and good freehand drawing skills Ability to prepare clear, concise, accurate reports and plans Good communication skills Excellent time and task management skills Good IT skills in appropriate design packages A full UK driving licence This position offers good opportunities for career development, an outstanding working environment and an excellent remuneration package. Assistant Position -  The role will include working on Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments for a variety of schemes including renewable-energy, waste management facilities, residential and commercial projects.  There will also be opportunities to be involved in landscape design, planning and environmental projects. The successful applicant will have some of the following: Licentiate or Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute An experienced user of AutoCAD and ideally have knowledge of other relevant software packages, e.g. Photoshop, Sketchup and GIS software Have proven LVIA report-writing skills; An attractive package is available to the successful candidate, commensurate with experience. The applicant must have a valid driving licence.
