This is an exciting opportunity for a geotechnical engineer seeking to combine a challenging technical role with an active involvement in assisting with the continued growth and development of the geotechnical and environmental side of our clients business. The technical role will involve inter alia designing geotechnical site investigations, preparing geotechnical interpretative reports, foundation design, preparation of earthworks specifications, slope stability analysis, retaining wall design, project management, the administration of contracts and supervision of geotechnical site works. In addition the successful applicant will work closely with our clients Director of Geotechnical Engineering to promote, develop and grow the business and increase their profile in the marketplace. Excellent management skills will also be necessary as the successful applicant will be required to oversee the work of a small team of junior engineers. Applicants should possess a first degree in either Geology, Engineering Geology or Civil Engineering and will preferably hold a post graduate qualification in Geotechnical Engineering or a related discipline. Applicants should have excellent communication skills and be able to demonstrate a solid track record working in the industry. The successful applicant will be joining a dynamic growing team and there will be considerable scope for career progression and professional development.
