Right at the heart of revitalising Britain’s railway, Network Rail is on a mission to deliver a better railway that’s vital for the economic prosperity of this country. We’re involved in some of the most ambitious and diverse ventures Britain has ever seen too, including the Electrification of the Great Western Mainline from London to Bristol and Cardiff. One of the largest projects currently in progress on the network, the introduction of new electric trains will help us transform how people travel and make a massive difference to passengers in the Western region.   Right now, we need an experienced HSEA Specialist to provide Health, Safety, Environmental and Assurance expertise to support our signalling projects across Western and Wales based in Newport or Swindon. This varied role requires you to interact at all stages of project delivery from initial planning and requirements through to execution of the project works. You’ll also offer environmental advice and review the risks on forthcoming works. Key to your success will be your ability to develop good working relationships with various stakeholders and manage their expectations while supporting their needs. As well as experience of health and safety within the railway or safety processes within the construction industry, you’ll need to have a good understanding of environmental aspects with membership of IEMA and/or IOSH. Dynamic and highly customer focused, you’re self-motivated too, while your outstanding communication and presentation skills enable you to influence people at all levels. Above all however, it’s your genuine enthusiasm about helping to create a safe word-class railway infrastructure that will see you thrive. In return, you’ll enjoy excellent benefits and opportunities for personal and professional development. To apply, please click on the apply button to visit our website. Closing date: 22 November 2015. Network Rail welcomes applications from a diverse range of candidates regardless of age, disability, marital status (including civil partnerships), pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sexual orientation, transgender status, sex (or gender), employment status, membership or non-membership of trade union, social class or any other irrelevant factor. We are committed to interviewing all applicants who declare a disability and meet the essential criteria advertised.  We are two ticks accredited and we continue to strive to create a workforce as diverse as the communities we serve.
