Acre is pleased to be partnering with unique family owned company, The LEGO Group. They are hiring a Senior Buildings and Renewables Manager to join the Environmental Sustainability team. The role will either be based at the Billund HQ or at the London hub, with global travel, and will report into the Senior Director of Environmental Sustainability.You will be responsible for ensuring the LEGO Group is at the forefront of the environmental sustainability agenda by leading and managing the development of and industry leading sustainable building and renewable energy portfolio.You will also be responsible for:Driving the delivery of on and offsite renewable energy capacity in order to meet 100% renewable energy by 2020 and beyondEnsuring best practice environmental building standards are implemented in all new developments and refurbishments, and embedding and updating the LEGO Environmental Building GuidelinesTaking a long term strategic view to meet the LEGO Group's Planet Promise goals on buildings and renewable energyInterface with key strategic partners (e.g. WWF), make recommendations on future partnerships and forums, influence renewable energy accounting methodologies, and build internal stakeholder engagement across all levelsMonitor environmental/sustainability buildings related legislation and keep reference to external standards such as LEED and BREEAMYou will have an exceptional track record of implementing similar sustainable buildings strategies and working towards renewable energy targets, preferably within a similar corporate setting.You will also have:A record of ensuring sustainable results through leveraging an internal and external networkHave excellent project management skills and be comfortable preparing and delivering feasibility studies and compelling business casesExceptional interpersonal skills and a track record of high quality stakeholder engagementA degree in engineering, architecture, construction, or a numerical or environmental subjectThis is an incredible opportunity to be a part of an exciting journey and to deliver real change within a rapidly growing organisation genuinely committed to environmental sustainability.We expect a lot of interest in this role, please apply as soon as possible to lego-
