Our client are a multi-disciplinary consultancy who are now looking for a talented Senior Ecologist who has a proven track record in ecology, nature, conservation and biodiversity to work from their office in Scotland. Key responsibilities include: -Ecological surveys and assessments. -Co-ordinating site teams. -Producing ecological reports and method statements. -Protected species licence applications. -Clerk of Works duties and project management. -Preparing species protection plans. Ideally the candidate should have: -A minimum of 5 or more years previous experience preferably in an environmental consultancy -Degree in an environment subject -Considerable experience in protected species surveying, Phase 1 habitat surveying and ecological assessment -In-depth knowledge of ecology, legislation, survey techniques and an enthusiasm for keeping up to date with best practice and new technologies -A full UK driving licence is essential -Be a member of a relevant professional institution e.g. CIEEM In return our client offer a competitive salary with a generous benefits package which includes private healthcare, pension scheme, life assurance and more
