Our client is leading national Water Treatment company with offices throughout the country. They specialise in legionella control and provide solutions in Water Treatment, Water Hygiene, Air Hygiene and Health and Safety Training Services. They are now recruiting for a Plant Technician to join their South East team to bring additional expertise to the business.  The role will require daily national travel to customer sites to service, install and repair softener systems alongside the training and development of colleagues; perfect for experienced technicians that enjoy working in different environments and meeting new people.  Experience and working knowledge of pumps, chemical dosing, ion exchange, ultra violet, reverse osmosis and deionisation systems is vital, as is mechanical installation skills, including the pipefitting of copper and basic electrical troubleshooting skills. Project management skills would be beneficial, and the ability to train others and provide expert advice to colleagues is essential.  You must hold a UK driving licence.   MAIN DUTIES Plant specification, servicing, installation and repairs.  (to include softener systems, pumps, chemical dosing systems, ion exchange, ultra violet, reverse osmosis, deionisation, and interconnecting systems.) Drafting specifications for softener systems for clients and prospects and undertaking the installation of these systems  Attending customer sites to conduct servicing and repair works as required   Project management of complex sites and systems to build a strong working partnership with the client and ensure an effective system Training colleagues on softener installation, servicing, repair etc and providing a source of expertise to colleagues across the business  Completion of paperwork and electronic records must be conducted to Quality Assurance standards.  Accurate and informative records must be upheld to ensure site compliance with the Approved Code of Practice L8 - 'Legionnaires' Disease: The control of legionella bacteria in water systems'. Records are regularly audited and any missing or incomplete reports will be investigated You must have an accurate working knowledge of site Log Books (paper and electronic) Paperwork must be distributed to the relevant parties in a timely manner In return the company offer a competitive salary and benefits package
