Our client is an Architectural/Planning Practice that is now recruiting for an Graduate Planner with Knowledge of UK Regulations and Planning Structure to join their Gloucestershire team This graduate level position will report to a Principal Planning Consultant and will be expected to work on a range of projects; handling and being accountable for a number of planning and project management tasks simultaneously. The role will require technical planning knowledge, excellent team working and communication skills and the ability to manage deadlines. To support the planning team in the delivery of planning projects. To analyse data effectively and carry out desk based planning studies and site visits when required. To assist in the delivery of project documents to the highest standard in accordance with project timescales; in relation to planning applications; planning policy analysis; input into planning appeals; site appraisal work; and any other development management type work as required. Work with other parts of URS on the planning aspects of various studies such as urban capacity studies; housing and employment land availability assessments; sustainability appraisals and strategic environmental assessments Work with a diverse design team in the preparation of Regeneration Masterplans / Site Masterplans / Site Disposal Projects.  To interact with the team and Project Managers/Project Directors to ensure the smooth running of projects. To participate in team meetings, client briefs and other meetings as and when required. To prioritise project actions and meet commitments on an on-going basis while taking ownership and responsibility for the quality and completion of work. To assist the Project Manager/Project Director in the coordination and management of sub consultants.  To research issues as part of the planning process and to provide ideas, solutions and expertise to the wider planning and environmental team. Ideal Qualifications / Knowledge or experience would include; -Graduate with Masters in Environmental Planning.  -RTPI Licentiate Membership -Knowledge or experience within a planning consultancy  -Knowledge of feasibility reports, completion and monitoring of planning applications, coordination of environmental statements.  The successful candidate would be joining a successful and expanding team and have access to their range of benefits alongside a competitive salary
