This is a unique opportunity to play a career defining role in delivering the High Speed 2 (HS2) rail network. HS2 will bring the UKs Victorian railway infrastructure dramatically into the 21st century. Wholly owned by the Department for Transport, HS2 Ltd is the company responsible for developing and promoting the new high speed rail network. This role is an exciting opportunity for you to lead contaminated land and geo-environmental engineering through to reference design and beyond. You will define the scope of geo-environmental input in line with Requirements and Specifications to assist procurement and help assess technical tender returns whilst ensuring safety is a key priority at all times. In this wide reaching role, you will integrate the geo-environmental discipline with the Environmental Topic Leads and other teams including architecture, geotechnics, rail, environment, third party interfaces, construction logistics, planning and stakeholders. To be equal to the challenge, youll hold a Degree in a relevant discipline and have a depth understanding of investigation, risk assessment and remediation processes. You will have significant track record of development-led delivery of geo-environmental schemes or aspects of development projects in a multi-disciplinary design and delivery environment. Skill in the progression of tiered contaminated land risk assessment processes, regulatory liaison and the discharge of regulatory requirements is also required.
