This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Environmental Consultant to join a globally renowned Multi-Disciplinary Consultancy with an industry leading reputation for the high quality of their work. The opportunity has arisen through our clients continued growth as they look to service a growing number of infrastructure projects with a particular focus on the highways and rail sector. The ideal candidate will have had extensive technical and project leadership experience as well as the ability to play a lead role in developing new business and maintaining relationships with existing clients. Location Solihull Responsibilities Lead and support the expansion of environmental management service, including EIA for infrastructure projects  You will be responsible for leadership, management, technical input and coordination of a growing team Provide technical and project leadership of work-streams required to support nationally significant infrastructure projects, including issues of scope, quality control and delivery to exacting timescales and budgets Establishing, developing and maintaining relationships with external clients, colleagues, and non-client government and regulatory agencies to continue to strengthen the teams’ credibility in the market To lead business development and to lead and manage the development of complex project proposals/cost estimates or expanding the scope of existing projects including ESIA and Environmental Management opportunities. Supervision and mentoring staff including operational aspects such as helping to manage staff workloads, input to performance appraisals, and providing on the job training. Capabilities and Qualifications:  A relevant degree in an environmental science Extensive professional experience and an in depth practical knowledge and experience of leading and delivering major infrastructure projects in the highways and rail sectors Excellent knowledge of the UK and European Union environmental regulatory framework relating to large infrastructure projects A proven track record of the supervision and mentoring of professional staff including operational aspects such as helping to manage staff workloads, input to performance appraisals, and identifying and helping staff prioritize training needs throughout the year.
