Our client are now one of the world's leading engineering professional services consulting firms who are now seeking to recruit a Principal or Associate Ecologist to work in their team in Avon. The successful candidate will be required to work throughout the UK and potentially overseas including undertaking surveys and implementing mitigation on the ground. You will be involved in project management and delivery, client and stakeholder meetings, tender preparation and line management and mentoring. You will be responsible for supporting other internal business units whilst also leading external marketing initiatives. Relevant Experience: -Relevant consultancy experience, ideally with experience in ecological assessments for major  infrastructure developments including energy generation and transportation projects. -Demonstrable track record in building and leading a team. -Strong client and stakeholder relationship building skills. -Demonstrable success in project and people management, ecological survey, EcIA, HRA, and high standard reporting. -One or more protected species licence(s) and experience of being a named ecologist on species  mitigation licences. -Strong financial and budget management skills. -The ability to effectively communicate with clients, project team and business managers. -A minimum of a first degree in Environmental Science (or similar subject) and preferably a master's degree  in a related discipline and full membership of IEEM.
