A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an ambitious sustainability consultant to join a new business in Central London. The ideal candidate will have been working in the industry for 3 to 8 years’ and will have experience of undertaking a broad variety of sustainability assessments including EPC, CRC and BREEAM. Team and project management experience will be essential for this role as you will be expected to help train and mentor junior staff as well as assisting the managing director with projects of varying size. This is a great opportunity for anyone who is looking to make a mark in the industry and quickly progress their career. This role will not be solely BREEAM orientated, it will provide an interesting and varied workload. Location London Capabilities and Qualifications: IT packages including MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook. Understanding of current and proposed legislation and industry best practice with regards to sustainability, energy and carbon management. Ability to research subjects, understand product/services and how it could be applied to a project. Ability to take a high level initial project brief and convert it into a meaningful and successful piece of work. Capable of effectively communicating to clients and other members of the business to articulate the sustainability, energy and carbon services in a confident and professional manner. Accurately input data into software programs, analyse this data and draw informative conclusions. Organised and be able to prioritise own workload with minimal supervision. Numerically competent. Strong oral and written communication skills in English. Competent and efficient report writing skills. Strong team member. Education & Qualifications Appropriate degree in sustainability, environmental, building services/engineering, geo-environmental discipline or other related discipline. Masters Degree in an environmental discipline (desirable but not essential). Membership of a related professional institution e.g. IEMA, etc. BREEAM, LEED or Code for Sustainable Homes assessor qualification (desirable) Foreign language skills would be an advantage, but is not essential. Full clean driving licence.
