The company Our client delivers ecological consultancy and contracting expertise, designing and implementing practical solutions focussed on benefiting both people and wildlife. They work countrywide. The role On behalf of our client, we are currently seeking full-time experienced bat surveyors to help provide support during the busy bat survey season. Surveys will be undertaken throughout England and Wales, but predominately in the South West and Blackburn area. The work will involve late nights and early morning surveys, which will include emergence, swarming and activity surveys. Successful candidates will be expected to contribute to other surveys and engage in report writing when not undertaking bat surveys. The candidate Suitable candidates will be able to demonstrate that they are capable of taking a proactive approach to their work, and: possess bat survey licences for England; have at least three survey seasons of experience; show experience in leading bat emergence/swarming surveys. Desirably, they will: hold a Bachelor’s degree in Ecology, Biology, Environmental Science or similar subject; be an Associate or Full Member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management or similar professional body; own their own equipment (torches, bat detectors, etc.); hold a full driving licence and have the use of their own vehicle.
