Our client is a market leading company working in the Water Sector currently recruiting for a Senior Consultant in the Swimming Pool Sector.  As Senior Consultant / Engineer you will have considerable experience of services associated with swimming and spa pools installation and design, water treatment and the regulations and guidance appertaining thereto. Capable of handling a personal workload.  Responsible for ensuring full compliance with the requirements associated with the "Pool Water treatment Advisor Group", HSE and other Water Quality Regulations. Main Responsibilities: Preparation of investigatory reports: to include Legionella audits of spa pools, compliance with PWTAG "Swimming Pool Water Treatment and Quality Standards for Pools and Spas, HSE "management of Spa Pools". To develop site specific pool standard operating procedures and controls to ensure ongoing control of the relevant installations.  Preparation of performance specifications, and contract documents for maintenance and improvement work. Preparation of technical reports and correspondence, including conducting cause of failure investigations with regards to water treatment and management of the respective interactive water features. To manage and develop swimming and spa pool operator training courses and to cross develop with other senior consultants in their respective fields; Maintaining effective liaison with colleagues, client representatives and other external governing bodies. Maintain excellent customer relations with clients and attend client meetings where required.  Additionally where subcontractors are being used, ensure that the service provided is in line with the Company's quality standards; To cross train with other senior consultants and regional managers to develop a broad range of knowledge across the water quality industry. To authorise reports carried out by other site services personnel to ensure quality of reports is maintained. Qualifications required to do this role: Preferably educated to degree level  Experience required to do this role: Detailed knowledge of swimming/spa pool design, maintenance and operation, with particular emphasis on mechanical engineering plant and equipment. Preferably a member of one of the professional institutions with HNC/BTech Higher or other relevant qualification. However candidates lacking a formal academic qualification who can demonstrate extensive appropriate experience and willingness to develop in the field will also be considered. Must have a detailed knowledge of the regulations and standards of work and safety that are applicable to the leisure industry. In particular the PWTAG "Swimming Pool Water Treatment and Quality Standards for Pools and Spas, HSE "management of Spa Pools", HSE "managing health and safety in swimming pools", the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 1999.  Experience and proven success in a similar role Significant experience within the industry, specifically with regards to Water Treatment and water hygiene. Must hold a valid UK driving license   Skills required to do this role: Exceptional personal organisation and time management skills. Have the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be able to plan and implement positive action to deal with changing priorities. Must have the interpersonal skills necessary to enable effective working relationships to be established and maintained and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels. A good level of communication/writing skill to be able to clearly outline technical issues at a level where customers can understand the issue and carry out proactive actions based on any findings.
