Centre for Assessment Ltd (CFA) are a well-established, and expanding UKAS accredited certification body. CFA are part of the Manchester Growth Company, a 1200 employee, £100M turnover Group. Due to business expansion we are looking for someone to join our team to lead on Environmental (ISO 14001, 50001) and Health & Safety (18001) schemes as well as have  involvement in others services.  The role will involve a variety of activities under each scheme from enhancement of existing systems and processes, application review, report reading/checking, making certification decisions, line management of a team member, running auditor meetings, training, competence approval, a small amount of auditing, MI reporting, presentations, development and UKAS compliance of schemes responsibility. The option to be involved in other developing schemes is also on offer. You will be based in our office in central Manchester however there will be some flexibility due to the client facing nature of this role. You will have a proven track record in a similar role within a UKAS accredited Certification Body, with an Environmental and/or Health & Safety qualification(IOSH/NEBOSH or higher).  You must have a working knowledge of ISO 17021, 14001 and BS 18001, ideally be Lead Auditor qualified with knowledge of certification body requirements.  Involvement with an accreditation body such as UKAS or similar is essential.  Experience and knowledge of other management systems would be beneficial. You must have strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with staff, sub-contract auditors, stakeholders and other Group companies as well as fulfilling line management duties.  You must be able to interpret the requirements of standards to reach practical business decisions as well as meeting compliance requirements, give balanced feedback and deliver excellent customer service.  You must be results focused, able to cope with pressure, passionate about success and work well within a small team as well as on your own. Generous Pension contribution (6% by company with 4% from you) after qualifying period 25 days leave rising to 30 days + bank holidays.
