Our client is an award-winning environmental consultancy with offices throughout various parts of the UK. They provide environmental solutions to a wide range of clients across multiple industries. They pride themselves on maintaining a professional, high quality service and are now wishing to expand their team by hiring a Senior Ecological Consultant to join their team based in Hampshire.  The Senior Ecologist should be a motivated individual capable of project managing teams across a range of ecological developments as well as being able to liaise with clients and the other offices within the company. The role will involve:  Project management on a range of projects in the UK Undertaking Extended Phase 1 Habitat Surveys Undertaking Phase 2 ecological surveys Managing the ecological team for their office Providing technical support to other managers  Completing and assisting on habitat assessments, surveys, ecological impact assessments and habitat management planning Have a clear understanding of H&S  The Senior Ecologist should:  Have experience working within an ecological consultancy  Extensive ecological knowledge  Have excellent report writing and negotiation skills Successful project and budget management  Competent in Extended Phase 1 Habitat Survey with a good working knowledge of UK flora Ideally have some sort of rare species licence Sound field skills covering a range of UK fauna,  A good working understanding of relevant UK and EU legislation and planning policy Hold Natural England Licences and have held EPSM Developments Licences Experience of undertaking Ecological Impact Assessment and of Habitats Regulations Assessments Excellent IT skills Proven project management skills Concise report writing skills Clean driving licence  Have CIEEM Membership  Preferably have achieved or be working towards Chartered Environmentalist status In return the company offer the opportunity to work within a well-established, professional organization that comes with a competitive salary and bonus benefits.
