Our client is an international, award-winning, multidisciplinary consultancy, delivering creative solutions to some of the world's most challenging projects.  Our client is currently looking for a Site Investigation Engineer to join the Site Investigation Contracting, part of their Geo-Environment team in Yorkshire working across a variety of market sectors in site investigation.  The successful candidate will have experience in the organisation and supervision of a variety of size and types of site investigations, as a minimum having managed site investigations of up to £50k and assisted on site investigations up to £250k. Your Role Ability to work on own initiative with support provided from more experienced staff Reports to a senior member of the Yorkshire management team The management of site investigation works, including costing and procuring work from sub-contractors, dealing with suppliers and preparation of health and safety documentation The supervision of site investigations across the UK Factual reporting Logging of Soil and Rock in accordance with BS5930:1999, Amendment 1, BS EN ISO 14688 and BS EN ISO 14689  The Successful Candidate Essential Degree or equivalent qualification in geology, environmental science or related subject; Experience in site investigation organisation and supervision; A willingness to travel around the UK for site investigation works.  90% of the role will be site based and is likely to involve frequent overnight stays; Good knowledge of health and safety requirements on site and for the development of health and safety documents including risk assessment and method statements; and suitably accredited in avoiding danger from underground services or similar; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Full UK driving licence
