Group Quality Manager – Liverpool / Salford   Role Overview: This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic candidate to apply themselves to Keepmoat, one of the UK's market leaders in New Build Housing Solutions and Community Regeneration. The main purpose of this role is to ensure that an effective Quality Management System is established, implemented and maintained at all levels. Managing the document change process and issue regular updates on amendments to the QMS.   Advising on quality standards compliance, continuous improvement, client satisfaction and Total Quality Management within a construction setting.   Responsibilities:   Providing guidance and assistance on Quality matters across the Group. Co-ordinate the annual SHEQ Management Review by collating statistics on quality issues, client satisfaction, inspection and testing, client complaints and recommending to the Board improvements for the following year. Liaise with the Keepmoat Business Unit’s quality representatives to ensure full agreement and understanding of each Business Unit’s quality requirements within the Group’s quality management approach. Providing an independent channel of communication on quality matters, initiating necessary action to resolve deficiencies and ensuring satisfactory solutions have been achieved. Managing the client satisfaction process to evaluate and understand client requirements and recommend improvements to processes and training. Managing Quality Audits and Inspections for identified Subcontractors and Suppliers. Reviewing Non-conformance and Best Practice audit reports to identify any apparent trends and providing timely reports on NCR status and trends to the Regional Managing Directors. The ongoing monitoring of construction records and review and acceptance of the completed quality record packages. Providing staff training and mentoring on the requirements of the Quality Management System and assisting the Learning and Development Team to design training courses in quality. Assist the Site Teams in the setting of project quality objectives and targets to measure and monitor quality performance, develop project Quality Plans and encourage the philosophy of Continuous Improvement. Encouraging feedback from all staff, sub-contractors, suppliers and clients on possible areas of improvement and investigating the benefit of any employee recommendations regarding Quality matters. Assist the Bids Teams with technical quality questions and client presentations. Essential skills and experience: Construction industry experience. Working with Senior Management Achievement of or working towards professional quality qualification such as Chartered Member of the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI) Demonstration of knowledge and practical application of quality assurance and quality control activities. 5 years’ experience of developing quality management systems in the construction industry in accordance with ISO9001 standard accredited to a UKAS certification body Sound knowledge of ISO14001 and OHSAS 18001 Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Word, Visio, Excel, Powerpoint ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Trained Working knowledge of lean construction and identifying cost savings from improved processes Is able to work within a multi-discipline team Desirable skills and experience: Knowledge of Alcumus software would be advantageous Appreciation of quality assurance within Building Information Modelling (BIM) would be advantageous To apply please click the APPLY NOW button below
